When individuals reach out to our team, our first step is to find a time to chat to learn more about their business goals, and to share more about our firm’s approach and how we may be able to help. During this conversation, there are some commonly asked questions that we’re asked. In this article, we’re sharing these questions – as well as our answers! – to help anyone who may be exploring whether or not to partner with a marketing firm or agency.

WHO ACTUALLY DOES THE WORK?
Our industry is cluttered with companies who take on projects of all kinds and then subcontract that work out.

From day one, I’ve believed firmly in the importance of building an in-house team that can work directly with each client. All of the work that we provide to our clients is done by our team of full-time staff.  This allows us to build close, strong relationships with each of our clients to further elevate the work that we do.

If our clients are in need of something that falls outside of our expertise, we’ve developed some amazing connections with other local businesses, and simply create that connection with our client so that they can work directly with those businesses (no strings – or fees – attached).

HOW DOES YOUR PRICING STRUCTURE WORK?
Our pricing is simple and transparent. Here’s the overview:

  • Project Work– For all projects (i.e. web design, strategic planning, design work, etc.) we define a clear scope of work, project investment, and payment schedule. There are no additional fees unless the scope changes and has been agreed upon by both our team and our client.
  • Management Work– For our ongoing marketing management support, we again define a monthly scope of work, and have a set monthly investment. This is built specifically for each client and their needs, and can be changed or cancelled anytime.
  • Website Expenses– Our website design projects provide clients with branded, functional sites that they can then either manage in-house or reach out to our team for support. We only bill if the client needs additional support down the road; there is no set monthly fee. Additionally, we set clients up directly with the applicable company to host their website and register their domain so that they can confidently own and manage these assets and avoid additional, unnecessary upcharges that are common in the industry.

WILL I OWN THE WORK THAT WE DO TOGETHER?
Absolutely, yes. From your Facebook page to your website, you will own every single deliverable and marketing asset we develop and manage together. We intentionally set up each item so that our clients own them, and our team is simply the admin or support.

Know that as the business owner, you should have ownership to everything that any firm or agency creates for you. This includes logo files, project deliverables, social media accounts, your website, and anything else that you hire someone to help build for your company.

HOW MUCH WORK DO YOU TAKE ON AT A TIME?
As a boutique firm, we intentionally take on a limited number of projects and clients at one time in order to maintain quality. While client openings vary dependent on project size and scope, we typically offer one to two new openings per month.

WHAT TOOLS WILL WE HAVE TO MEASURE THE SUCCESS OF OUR WORK TOGETHER?
This is our favorite question, and where I probably begin to nerd out a little. Because we use a strategy-first approach that allows us to really evaluate each company from the inside out in order to align business goals with marketing efforts, we know exactly what metrics we need to track and what the expected ROI is for each marketing channel.

All clients gain access to essential analytics tools, and our management clients have access to our firm’s exclusive analytics tool that allows us to easily track how all marketing efforts are working together to support business goals in real time. Additionally, each management client receives a full report, key insights from our team, and the opportunity to schedule a complimentary business consultation every month.
